Desperate for the WiFi

March 25th, 2008 · No Comments

I’m taking some time off in the Colorado mountains. My condo said “we have WiFi.” They do. Kind of.

As you can see, in order to get a steady signal (and this is still a bit sketch), I’ve had to do some creative stacking.

Believe it or not, if I put the computer on the desk — about 12 inches lower than when it sits on the suitcase — I lose the signal altogether. And, getting a movie rental from iTunes? I’m in my second hour of what appears to be about 12 hours of download. Maybe we’ll watch it before we leave on Friday!

But, I’m skiing, and that’s a very good thing!
