Something very interesting is beginning to happen at the I Want My Rocky page.

Not so fast, Dean.

Not so fast, Dean.

Journalism!

There’s a news story by Kevin Flynn, a rant about Def Leppard ticket prices from Mark Brown and arts coverage from Mary Voelz Chandler, Marc Shulgold, Lisa Bornstein and Bob Denerstein.

News and feature stories, being done by people who know what they’re writing about, and can tell a comma from a semi-colon. Bonus.

If you’re a Colorado Rockies fan, you may also like InsideTheRockies.com, where Jack Etkin and Tracy Ringolsby are covering spring training, just like they oughta be. Also participating: former RMN assistant sports editor Steve Foster, who was in charge of the sports section’s web presence, and cartoonist Drew Litton.

Some people wait for things to happen. Other people make things happen. Reporters tend to fall into the latter category, and this makes me cheerful.

Go on over there and give them some pageviews.
