‘Tis the season to be merry and jolly and eat lots of Turkey and mashed potatoes. It’s also the season to remember what’s most important to each of us.
This holiday season gives all of us Metzgerites a chance to reflect on the things we are most thankful for – both in our personal and professional lives. Here are some thoughts from our team:
John Metzger: Thankful for our clients, all the new ones we’re lining up, and a great team poised for greatness in ‘10. Thankful for my son Ian, fiance Catherine, and 20-year-old Siamese cat, Vanya.
Doyle Albee: I am thankful for all geek gadgets – my new Apple headphones, the Apple Store and Agile Software’s 1 Password program that allows me to only memorize one password and virtually eliminates any chance of hacking on my accounts. I also couldn’t do without B-side’s bottomless wine happy hour!
Lisa Metzger: I am thankful for Target, Starbucks, Oscar Season, the holiday season to drown out all of the New Moon hype and stupidity. I am also thankful for my beautiful twins who make my life better each day!
Lauren Preston: I’m thankful to work with such a creative and inspiring group of people whom I learn something new from every day. I am thankful to have moved from Chicago to the wonderful state of Colorado, which I am happy to now call home…for my wonderful allergy-ridden dog, my family and #15, the lite 93.9 streaming holiday music – everyone here knows how much I LOVE this time of year! Oh, and cupcakes and ponies, in honor of Miss Elaine Ellis!
Melissa Vizcarra: I’m thankful for my amazing family and supportive friends who remind me everyday that life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift. I’m thankful to be able to experience the phenomenon of social media. So many were fortunate to experience traditional media when it started, now I’m able to witness social media from the ground up. I’m also thankful for post-its, oh and of course, all the Metzgerites I work with because they ALL kick ass!
Nate Warren: I am thankful the function on Facebook that allows me to hide Mafia Wars, Farmville, and all those other annoying applications.
Denise Smith: I am thankful for an amazing network and a platform to connect, educate and empower people in the direction that they will be most successful personally and professionally! Love, love, love…the power it holds and the ability to emerge my most authentic self! Also wine, chocolate and great music!
Justin Rosenthal: I am most thankful for nerds who work for free so we can have cool things like Wordpress.
Carolyn McHale: In my worklife, I am thankful for working with creative people, istockphoto.com and the “Undo” command. Personally, I am thankful for Pandora, surviving this economy and having a partner in crime.
Cynthia Hoye: I am thankful for good health, wonderful family and friends. My iPhone, my new Michelin low-profile tires and my PW dog.
Cortney Harvey: I’m sincerely thankful for the opportunity to intern for and learn from a prestigious PR agency like Metzger Associates. On a personal level I am truly thankful for my family and friends who remind me everyday what life is all about.
We are also all incredibly thankful for the wonderful team we get to work with every day. Though they were unable to contribute to this blog post, we still love ‘em (That’s you Gabe Lee, Sarah Engle, Dean Rizzuto and Jenny Love!)
What are you thankful for??
Have a wonderful and safe holiday filled with family, friends and of course, delicious food!
Cheers,
The Metzger Crew
